POLOKWANE - Residents and business from all over Limpopo and even Zimbabwe are getting ready to take advantage of the new Makro store in Polokwane.
Makro opens its doors on Wednesday 28 September at 07h00, on the corner of Marmer and Magnesiet Streets, just off Landdros Mare in Polokwane. With over 16 000m2 of trading space, 869 parking bays and 63 till points it promises to be a new world of shopping, the likes of which Polokwane has never seen.
Makro is SA's leading warehouse club. Its is owned by Massmart, a JSE listed company which in turn is 51% owned by the most successful and largest retail organisation in the World – Walmart. Makro offers retail customers, traders and commercial shoppers access to some 55 000 quality branded products at low prices.
The store’s GM, Thabo Letwaba and his team invite everyone to join them for a fun-filled day with celebrities including Premier Cassel Charlie Mathale, the executive mayor - Freddy Greaver and Miss SA 2010 - Bokang Montjane. Capricorn 96.0FM will be broadcasting their breakfast show live outside the store on the opening day. The Capricorn “Hitmobile” will also be stationed in the parking lot all day with live crossings every hour to keep everyone updated and to keep the crowds entertained with spot prize giveaways to lucky customers. There will be breathtaking air shows performed by DC Spence Aerobatics Unlimited.The three airshows with smoke effects and aerial maneuvers will be performed at 09h00, 11h00 and 13h00. The local traffic department will be present to control the vehicle flow and emergency services will also be at the store to attend to everyone’s welfare.
