Exxaro hostel burns

One of the male-resident blocks at the Exxaro’s single quarters near the Lephalale FET College in Onverwacht caught fire on Saturday night.
“The fire was caused by a hotplate used by a resident. Most of the residents were on a long-weekend and nobody was hurt in the incident”, said Exxaro’s Thandiwe Mapi.
The residents staying in the block have been allocated new rooms in other blocks while the damage is being repaired. “The cost of the damage is estimated at R350 000,” Mapi said.
