Healthy debate

The Mogalakwena library hosted a debate for Grade 10 learners from Mogalakwena, Mahwelereng, Bakenberg, Bakgoma and Babirwa earlier this year. The winners recently performed at the Aboo Tayob hall as part of the Literacy Month campaign.
The topics selected were in collaboration with the department of education and in conjunction with the learners’ curriculum. The overall winners were from Bakgoma library centre and received a mayoral trophy with the best speaker being Lesiba Ramela.
The event was ended by the Mogalakwena municipality mayor, Malose Mabuela who congratulated the participants and winners. Then he advised the learners to focus on educating themselves and avoid activities that will deviate from their school work. He left learners with his message of the day and that is to learn, learn and learn some more.
