EHS excel at public speaking

LEPHALALE - Ellisras High School’s English public speakers competed against each other to determine who is going to represent the Rassies at the inter high later this year at Piet Pot on 14 May.
Eight juniors and eight seniors took part with a variety of topics.
The winner in the junior section is Gopolong Mokgotu and her topic was “Does internet mean the death of newspapers?” Karabo Lebodi was second with “Teenage dating is destroying our youth” and third was Pabalelo Makgamatha with “Motivation is the answer.” In the senior section Lerato Ditsela came first and her topic is “Plastic surgery – get real!” Two speakers came second, Barbara Emslie with “Do you dare to compare?” and Alize Hoepfner with “Fomo”. Third was Boity Tsolo and her topic was “Honesty is a dead policy!”
The speeches were very educational and entertaining and the judges were very impressed with the learners’ talents.
