Alert opens mega store in Lephalale

Steel and building-material giant Alert Steel Holdings Ltd celebrated the opening of its new mega store in Lephalale and four other cities nation wide. The launch of the upgraded stores forms part of Alert Steel and Build’s goal to be a one-stop shop for both consumer and commercial buyers.

Eskom pays for Medupi delays

Drug bust in Overwacht

Undercover agents of Molalatau Security’s task force apprehended four suspects on Tuesday afternoon when they tried to sell marijuana at the Onverwacht Business Centre. The suspects were arrested right in front of Northern News offices. Police officers were quick on the scene to escort the suspects to the police station. A fifth suspect got away and was almost run over by a car when he ran across a busy Walter Sisulu Street and jumped a wall to evade arrest. This was the task team’s second success for the day after they arrested suspected copper thieves earlier that day.
