MOKOPANE - Arson, rubber bullets and overturned rubbish bins marked the ongoing wage dispute and protest action at the Mogalakwena Local Municipality this week. Violence erupted in the streets surrounding the municipality on Monday and Tuesday with municipal employees touting the inadequate benchmarking of salaries compared to similar-sized municipalities as the reason.

MOKOPANE  - Brandstigting, rommelstrooi en klipgooiery het die betogings by die Mogalakwena munisipaliteit gister gekenmerk. Vanoggend (Dinsdag) is daar glo rubber koeëls gebruik om die betogers uitmekaar te jaag in Retief straat. Teen 10:00 was gerugte dat die betogers oppad na die verkeersdepartement om te hergroepeer en hul aksie voort te sit.
