Cancervive in Mokopane

MOKOPANE – Die vyfde jaarlikse Cancervive bewusmakingsrit is onderweg met die hoofdoel om gemeenskappe aan die praat te kry oor kanker. Sowat 65 kankeroorwinnaars en ondersteuners het vroeër die week uit Gauteng vertrek vir ‘n 2300km roete wat in dorpe aandoen om inwoners te leer hoe om kanker vroeg te diagnoseer, en waar om toepaslike behandeling te kry.

MOKOPANE – The police confiscated dagga plants to an estimated value of R10 000 behind the department of agriculture’s offices last Friday.  This was after the security company, Special Operations Solutions (SOS), discovered the dagga plantation growing in the department’s back yard.

Violence erupts in Marapong

MARAPONG – Fourteen people appeared in court on Thursday morning after violence erupted in Marapong on Monday night as an angry mob set fire to 22 busses from Lowveld Bus Services, the satellite police station, a municipal office and the library. Various privately owned businesses were also damaged. The damage is estimated at millions of rands.

MOKOPANE – Nog drie honde in Van Heerden straat is dood en verskeie ander siek nadat hulle vermoedelik gif ingekry het.
