Met ’n stampvol program, beoog Mariana van Tonder, bestuurder van die ouetehuis om nuwe lewe in die portale van dié tehuis te blaas.

Laptops for local medical students

The five students chosen to represent Lephalale as part of the Fidel Castro-Nelson Mandela Medical Scholarship programme were given laptops on 14 November ahead of their departure for Cuba. Nine laptops were sponsored by Eskom as part of the Medupi Corporate Social Involvement programme. The remaining four laptops will be handed over to students from Lephalale who are already studying in Cuba.

Green light for Platreef

The long-awaited construction of the new R17-billion Platreef mining project outside Mokopane has finally received the green light from the minister of mineral resources, Advocate Ngoako Ramatlhodi.
