AG report shows Limpopo is worst

News: 28 November 2013
When it comes to financial management, Limpopo is rated worst in the consolidated 2012-13 Auditor-General’s report released last week. According to Jacques Smalle, Provincial Leader for the DA, departments at national and other provinces showed a small improvement. Only Limpopo’s departments regressed. “The unauthorised expenditure increased from R175 million in 2011/12 to R324 million in 2012-13. National Treasury’s administration of five Limpopo departments clearly has not improved the situation. A concern for the DA is that the worst performers are those departments which are at the coalface of service deli-very: Health, Education and Public Works,” Smalle said in a statement last week. The report shows that irregular expenditure is at R2 billion. Overall fruitless and wasteful expenditure has gone up by 192% from the preceding year to R356 million. “The people of Limpopo suffer as a result. We are waiting for government to implement the change we need. But if government continually wastes money, the changes will never come. The people of Limpopo cannot continue to be hapless victims of this mismanagement,” he added.

Ondersteun só vir Bravo

News: 28 November 2013
R100de kan inbetaal word by Nedbank, rekeningnaam: BRAVO Youth, takkode: 144547, Rekening nommer: 1445095157. Gebruik die woorde R100de projek as verwysing. Vir inligting oor die projek en oor Bravo Jeug skakel Petro van der Walt by 083 321 2673 of stuur ‘n epos aan vanderwaltpetro@yahoo.com. Besoek ook www.bravo.org.za.
