Top four to celebrate Heritage day

While many people across the country celebrated Heritage Day by wearing traditional clothes and having braais, Barcelona under 19 soccer team in Marapong hosted Shongoane Junior bucks while Supper Warriors hosted Supper Eagles in a friendly top four at Marapong sports grounds. Barcelona beat Junior bucks 6-1 and Super Eagles won 5-4 against Supper Warriors on penalties.
Final play-offs was between Barcelona and Super Eagles where Barcelona won by 3-0. Both teams went into the first half of the match goalless, but when they returned for the final half Petros Mocheku capitalised on a mistake by the Eagles defence. Eagles tried to push hard but Petros wasn’t having any of it when he scored his second goal from the same mistake by the defence of Eagles.
Eagles had some attempts but they failed to find the back of the net.
Sello Madibana also registered his name on the goal sheet when he followed suite and scored a thunderous shot outside the 18m area, to make Barcelona the winners of the Top 4 tournament.
