New record times at park run

At this week’s Mogol park run there were 99 runners, of which 53 were first timers and 27 recorded new personal bests. Representatives of four athletics clubs took part.
The Mogol park run started on 14 June and since then 136 runners from 10 athletics clubs have completed 189 runscovering a total distance of 945 km, and there have been 27 new Personal Bests.
The women’s record is held by Benise Geyser who ran in a time of 00:22:40 on 14 June. The men’s record is held by Mmaphuti Solomon Moruni who ran in a time of 00:17:01 on 21 June. The Age Grade course record is held by Moruni who recorded a 75.81% run (17:01) on 21 June.
Men’s placings: Moruni (SM20-24) (unattached) was first in 17:01 - second time in two appearances. Caleb Khomotso  (SM20-24) (unattached) was second with 17:38.
Ernest Morolong (SM30-34) of Eskom Athletic Club (Limpopo), was third over the line in 20:33.
Current standing in the Men’s annual points competition: Francois Badenhorst (unattached) 200 points. Moruni  (unattached) 200 points. Wikus Geyser (Mogol AC) 200 points.
Women’s placings: Elzani Davies (SW18-19) (unattached) was first with  24:39, first appearance. Jolande Viljoen (VW50-54) of Mogol AC, was second with 24:51. Benise Geyser (SW30-34) of Mogol AC, was third with 28:2.
Current standing in the Women’s annual points competition: Elzani Davies (unattached) 200 points. Erika Swanepoel (unattached) 200 points. Benise Geyser  (Mogol AC) 198 points.
