Gearing up for Limpopo's

MOKOPANE – Nineteen gymnasts from Marshall Gymnastics Club (MGA) travelled to Centurion to participate in the Eldo Stars Mini Olympics competition at the Matsport Centre.
About 300 gymnasts from various clubs in Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Gauteng competed to test their skills ahead of the Limpopo regional competition which is scheduled to take place in August.
The results for level 1 were: Juan van Staden 6th overall (2nd on Vault, 3rd on floor); Rudolf Brittz 7th overall; Jayden Enslin 8th overall; Darren Foss 9th overall; and Mathew van Heerden 10th overall. Maya Boshoff finished in 1st place (1st on vault, U-bar and beam, 2nd on floor).
The results for level 2 were: Keanu Potgieter 4th overall (3rd on P-bars, 3rd on high bar) and Basson Wolmarans  6th overall (3rd on vault, 1st on P-bars).
In level 3 Hannes Raats finished second place (2nd on floor, vault, P-bars, high bar) and Jénnezee Vermeulen was placed 2nd overall (1st on floor, 2nd on vault, U-bar and beam).
The level 4 girls saw Melody Raats placed 4th overall (3rd on vault, 1st on beam), Lesedi Mashishi, 7th overall (2nd on U-bar and beam) and Lungile Mahlangu 10th overall. The level 5 results saw Jan van der Baan finish 5th overall ( 1st on floor, 3rd on vault, 2nd on p-bars) and Marnus Ruytenberg  9th overall. Lize Janse van Rensburg was 5th overall (3rd on U-bar and floor).
In level 6 Juandré Ruytenberg finished 1st overall (2nd on floor, 1st on pommel, vault, and P-bars, 2nd on rings) and Luan du Plessis 5th overall (2nd on P-bars, 2nd on high bar).
Louis Boshoff finished 1st overall in level 7 (1st on floor, vault and high bar, 2nd on pommel and P-bars, 3rd on rings).
