Going for gold!

Marshall Gymnastics Academy was represented by five gymnasts at the North Zone Festival hosted at the Matsport Centre in Gauteng on the 23rd and 24th of June.  These five gymnasts competed as part of the Limpopo team, having obtained their Limpopo colours in Modimolle on the 2nd and 3rd of June. 

The North Zone Festival saw about 1 200 gymnast competing over the two days. Gymnasts from the North West, Mpumalanga, Tshwane, Sedibeng and Limpopo took part. 

MGA gymnasts beat their best at the North Zone Festival and obtained the following results. 

Dané Schamrel (level 1) received a Gold average, a 6th overall placing in her category and 2nd place for her floor routine. 

Natanja Koch (level 1) received a Gold average, also a 6th place overall, and a 4th place for both her floor and uneven bar routines. 

Jayden Enslin (level 1) ended his competition season with a Silver average, as did Darren Foss (also level 1). Darren also received a 3rd place for his parallel bars routine. Keanu Potgieter (level 3) received a Silver average at this competition.
