MOKOPANE - ‘n Reuse leemte word agtergelaat in die Potties gemeenskap met die afsterwe van die oud-onderwyser James Steele (65). Hy was ‘n geliefde inwoner wat meer as 40 jaar homself in die Mokopane gemeenskap se harte ingegrawe het. Hy is in sy slaap oorlede in die vroeë oggendure van 30 November (Woensdagoggend) nadat hy gesukkel het om te herstel van ’n groot kolon operasie ’n maand gelede.​

Luiperdwelpie gevang in residensiële area

MOKOPANE - ’n Luiperd in Gamkastraat het behoorlik die tonge aan die klap. Jan Mallinson het die naweek die dier probeer opspoor saam met SOS Sekuriteit en sê die dier is laaste in ’n residensiële park tussen 19:00-20:00 gewaar. ’n Welpie is Saterdagoggend omstreeks 10:00 in inwoners se tuin opgemerk en kort daarna is die dier na die Mokopane Wildteëlsentrum geneem vir veilige bewaring. 

Leopard cub captured in residential area

MOKOPANE - The spotting of a leopard in Gamka Street has tongues wagging. Jan Mallinson worked with SOS Security over the weekend to try and find the animal which, he says, was last spotted in one of the residential parks between 19:00 - 20:00. A young leopard cub was captured at around 10:00 Saturday morning after residents spotted the angry animal in their garden. It was taken to the Mokopane Biodiversity Conservation Centre.

MOKOPANE - A female leopard and her cub have reportedly been spotted in Mokopane near Gamka Street. Jan Mallinson is working with SOS Security to try and find the pair which was last spotted in one of the parks between 19:00 - 20:00. Another cub was captured at around 10:00 Saturday morning and was taken to the Mokopane Biodiversity Conservation Centre.
