The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation applications for the Fellowship Programme in Southern Africa are now open. Fellowship recipients, known as Allan Gray Candidate Fellows, receive funding for university studies as well as access to support and development to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset​. The programme invites all eligible, up and coming entrepreneurs to apply for this comprehensive Fellowship Programme. Grade 12 students, as well as 1^st and 2^nd year university students are urged to apply.​

Parents and educators are always looking for ways to educate children or to find solutions to learning problems. The owners of the Resource, Equipping and Training (RET) Centre has opened its premises up to all educators and sport clubs for the first-ever Education Expo in Mokopane on 21 July from 09:00 to 14:00.

Learners from Mokopane Destiny Academy concluded their first term of 2018 with an adventure filled week of self discovery and personal breakthroughs when the seniors went hiking in Magoebaskloof and the Grade 5&6 group had camping weekend in the mountains on a private game farm.

The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation is calling on all young, entrepreneurially-minded South Africans to enlist in the most comprehensive and stimulating Fellowship opportunity in Southern African. Applications opened on 22 January 2018.

The new learners settled in quickly for their first day of school at Mokopane Destiny Academy (MDA) situated at the Resource, Equipping and Training (RET) Centre on the corner of Geyser and Fourie Streets.

Brightly coloured walls and even brighter smiles greet any visitor entering the Grade 1 class at Mokopane Destiny Academy (MDA). Under the watchful eye of their teacher Heather van Wyk, the little ones sing out a chorus greeting.

MOKOPANE - Mokopane Destiny Academy's (MDA) Market Day at the Crossing Mall turned out to be more than just another entrepreneurial exercise for learners as transactions on sweet treats, hand crafts, face painting and chess games went beyond the mere exchange of money. Members of the buying public lingered around the 'market' much longer than planned simply to enjoy the warm kindness of the MDA team.

WitRivier Educare and Stirum preschool are registered non-profit organisations (NPOs) established in 2005 and 1986 respectively at Mapela (Rauwele and Millenium villages) in the Waterberg District Municipality in Limpopo. The preschools aim to take care of farmworkers’ and local community members’ children by providing a suitable environment for early childhood development activities that stimulate language, learning and creativity.​

Kamogelo Rakgetse, a grade 11 pupil from Abraham Serote Secondary School in Tafelkop, Limpopo, displayed his science and engineering prowess when he presented his innovative idea for a power station at the Limpopo Regional Eskom Expo for Young Scientists on Saturday, 19 August 2017.​

The call is now out for Grade 10 learners to enter the 2017 Challenge, which tasks participants with finding innovative solutions to everyday problems they experience. Entrants who make it through to the final round will benefit from exposure to 3M's wealth of intellectual and product resources, in support of their quest to become South Africa's Top Young Innovator.​

MAPELA: Mogalakwena Municipality Mayor Cllr Andrina Matsemela and Eskom Limpopo recently visited Johannes Masibe Primary school in Mashatlheng Village, Mapela to hand over 60 pairs of school shoes, school bags and stationery to needy leaners.​

MOKOPANE - Eskom donated school shoes to underprivileged learners of Johannes Masibe Primary School in Mokopane on 2 June. This donation forms part of Eskom’s CSI initiatives in Limpopo.​

MOKOPANE – A new era has dawned in education in Limpopo on Tuesday, 2 May, when learners of Mokopane Destiny Academy (MDA) moved into ‘The Cube,’ a state-of-the-art school building which encompasses the latest international design trends in educational facilities. The school can now be contacted to make appointments for the Open Day which will be held on 23 June.

STEILLOOP – Thousands of shoppers attended the grand opening of the new Steilloop Shopping Centre, located 100km north of Mokopane on the N11 last year. The shopping centre recently gave back to the community after inviting schools in the area to take part in a colouring competition.
